Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV) is an initiative launched by Chevron in 1999 to identify and integrate externally developed technologies and new business solutions that have the potential to enhance Chevron's operations, improve the affordability and reliability of energy, and reduce the environmental impact of its activities. They operate two investment funds, the Core Venture Fund, which is focused on technologies that can increase efficiencies in Chevron's core business in areas such as operational enhancement, digitalization, and lower-carbon operations, and the Future Energy Fund, which focuses on innovations in areas such as carbon capture, emerging mobility, energy decentralization and circular carbon economy. CTV's portfolio includes companies in the field of low-carbon technologies, IT and digitalization, oil and gas, and others. They also engage with incubators, accelerators, and other organizations to access new technologies and opportunities.
