David Olsson is the Global Head of Institutional Distribution at BlockFi, a global crypto financial services company that provides retail and institutional investors access to crypto-powered financial products and services. He started his career in proprietary trading at a hedge fund, Caxton, and later moved to Merrill Lynch where he spent time in New York and London and was responsible for a structured financing and structured products desk. In London, he built a team from the ground up and launched several businesses, including a managed account platform for fund-linked derivatives. He then moved to Credit Suisse, where he also led a team in Equity Derivatives, and then spearheaded an effort focusing on sophisticated UHNW clients in its Private Banking department.
